Bars Assistant

We are looking for four full-time Bars Assistants to help us provide guests with a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure hotel bars are clean, tidy and maintained in line with health & safety requirements, reporting any breaches or hazards to your line manager
  • Ensure you are familiar with hotel emergency procedures
  • Ensure you are fully compliant with the hotel Health & Safety policy
  • Ensure you are fully compliant with the hotel Fire Safety policy
  • Ensure back of house and preparation areas are maintained and clean
  • Use and store chemicals safely and according to relevant COSHH data sheets
  • To assist customers in order to ensure that they have a consistently good experience at the hotel
  • Take customer orders for food and drink
  • Deliver food and drink to customers
  • Ensure you adhere to all food service regulations
  • Ensure you are at all times polite, well presented and your uniform is clean, pressed and in adherence to company standards
  • Work alongside your colleagues in the kitchen to ensure all food is delivered to customers according to menu specifications
  • Ensure your work area is tidy and well maintained at all times
  • Ensure you leave the bar in a tidy and clean manner at the end of your shift including ensuring all glasses and cups/saucers are washed and ready for use by the next shift
  • Accept and carry out any reasonable duties assigned to you by your manager or by any member of the hotel management team
  • Ensure all cash in your care is banked and handled according to company procedures
  • Attend all relevant training as required by your manager
  • Observe and practice all relevant health & safety, fire and hygiene regulations and requirements
