Pokémon hunters from across the globe could now be descending on Droitwich to catch fictional creatures within our grounds.
Since the launch of the Pokémon Go game just over a week ago, millions of people worldwide have signed up to play. Using a map on their mobile phones to visit various stop-off points, players can track and collect hidden characters that have been placed in real-world, everyday places in towns and cities.
We’re delighted to announce that Chateau Impney and its 140 acres of grounds have been designated as an official stop-off point. Better known as a Pokéstop, it's where players of the game can meet up with each other and join forces to catch more Pokémon.
Pokémon trainers who can show that they caught a Pokémon within the hotel or its grounds, by using the app’s built-in camera function, will receive 10% off purchases from our all-day menu (excluding afternoon tea) between midday and 5pm from Monday to Friday - you'll just need to show a member of our staff when you order.
We’ll also be sharing some of the best Pokémon Go moments captured at the hotel on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and we hope we’ll become the number one spot in Worcestershire for players to come together and enjoy the game. Who knows, some of the rarest Pokémon in the world could even be hiding in our grounds!
