Meet the Team: Kayla Ball, Room Sales Coordinator

Thursday 25 February 2016

Say hello to Kayla, one of our newest members of staff. Kayla is part of our Reservations Team at the hotel and helps our guests to book their perfect stay. Every day, she helps our guests to discover the best things to see and do in the area.

Name: Kayla Ball
Role at the Chateau: Room Sales Coordinator
Has worked here for:  Four months

The best thing about working at Chateau Impney is …

Both the staff and the guests at Chateau Impney are a really diverse mix of people, and make each day different, exciting and fun.

If I could choose to swap jobs for a day with anyone else at the Chateau, it would be …

I’d swap with Peter Rosser, our Deputy General Manager. As he has worked at the Chateau for over 20 years, he knows a great deal about each department in the hotel and is everyone’s go-to guy for queries – it would be great to have even half as much knowledge about the Chateau as Peter does!

My favourite part of the hotel is …

The Red Lounge is great for a bit of people watching, or if you’d like to enjoy a coffee or snack from our all-day menu. It’s a bright, comfortable space – certainly somewhere you can relax and enjoy the moment.

The one place in Droitwich or Worcestershire that our guests should visit is …

Worcester city centre is constantly changing and there is always something to see – I never tire of it. If you’re a bit of a history buff, the Commandery museum and Worcester Cathedral are must-see places, but if you’d like to hit the shops, then it’s worth paying a visit to the Crowngate shopping centre.

My favourite dish on the Chateau menu is …

The southern fried chicken fillet hot sandwich. It’s very popular with our guests and my favourite too!

The one local event that you shouldn’t miss when you stay at the Chateau is …

The Worcester Beer, Cider and Perry Festival is usually hosted over a period of three days in August at Worcester Racecourse. It’s always a great deal of fun, and I enjoy trying a few of the local drinks produced in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
